Momentum builds for the International Dementia Innovation Conference

Momentum is building ahead of the International Dementia Innovation Conference, to be held in Bali from 25-30 September, 2025, which promises to be a unique experience for all involved.

Held in partnership between Community Home Australia and Alzheimer’s Indonesia, the conference is perfect for aged care and disability practitioners, advocates, allied health professionals, academics, students and researchers, and innovative product suppliers.

Collaboration and information sharing is the primary focus.

“Our impressive showcase of international speakers, led directly by people living with dementia offers an amazing opportunity to hear and learn from those who live with the good and bad of dementia on a daily basis,” shared Community Home Australia Founder and Managing Director Dr Rodney Jilek.

“Our ‘Living Experience Experts’ are travelling from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Belgium, and they honour us with their presence and wisdom.

“Our speakers bring a practical and grassroots approach to dementia care and share their very personal stories of how the dementia journey has touched their lives and the lives of their loved ones.”

Keynote speakers include Belgium’s Daithi Clayton, an international expert living with early-onset dementia as a trans/non-binary elder; lived experience expert and dementia advocate, Emily Ong; Founder of Alzheimers Indonesia, Dy Suharya; and the President of the Alzheimer’s Disease Association of the Philippines, Dr Veeda Michelle Anlacan.

Australia’s Shane Roulston will also be presenting the innovative NeuronsVR, while Amalia Fonk-Utomo – of Netherlands Alzheimer’s Disease International – will present the creative Melody Memory Project.

The conference will be jointly hosted at Aashaya Jasri Resort and the Ramayana Candidasa Resort, providing accommodation for up to 100 delegates in comfort. This is just 90 minutes from Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar.

All conference tickets for people living with dementia are FREE.
