Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT (SCC) has appointed interim CEO Monique Reynolds as its new Chief Executive.

Ms Reynolds has been the interim CEO of the not-for-profit organisation for the past three months.

After a comprehensive search and competitive recruitment process that attracted more than 100 candidates, the Board determined that Ms Reynolds’ diverse experience in aged care, finance, property, and strategic business transformation is a perfect fit to meet the needs of SCC.

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) Chair Lawrence Hallinan said: “Monique has demonstrated her superior skills, experience and energy. During her time as interim CEO, she has lifted the mood and performance at SCC in ways that have brought out the best in our staff.

“Monique embodies our HEART values and is committed to continuing our model of high-quality person-centred care.

“My promise to our staff was that we would find a CEO who is worthy of working alongside them and of leading SCC. I know that in Monique we have found such a person.

“As Monique has already been demonstrating, a change in leadership doesn’t change our commitment to staff, residents, and clients.”

Ms Reynolds has more than 25 years of experience leading and managing a range of teams across sales, marketing, product development and operations.

Monique Reynolds said: “It is an honour to be entrusted with the responsibility of engaging with the leaders within SCC to make a future defined by excellence, innovation and our HEART values.”

“I am excited at the opportunities to build on SCC’s successful 50-year legacy while also exploring the customer-centric ways to meet current and future needs.”
